Mystery Lesson
I utilized the learning strategy Mystery Making to develop this lesson. In this approach, students discover the lesson objectives by solving a mystery using a sequence of clues. Each clue teaches the same essential knowledge and skills that would be covered in a traditional lesson, but in a format that promotes greater engagement, curiosity, and deeper learning.
Authentic Real-World Client Scenario Task
For this lesson, AI was utilized to create six group mock client scenarios where students were presented with a client's needs and a problem they were to solve. They were learners were also asked to create a concept statement based on their "client's" needs. During the PowerPoint presentation, students were led through the thinking and reasoning process a professional would use to design these items.

Elements and Principles of Design Analysis
This lesson was designed with the intention of helping students not only learn about the elements and principles of design but also understand two important ideas: how they relate to and work together, and that their overarching purpose is to create different moods and atmospheres within a space.

Students were required to design ads for a fictional house remodeling company to further internalize the concepts of the lesson while applying their learning in an authentic, real-world context.
